Geoffrey M. Wells for Trustee:

Geoffrey Wells has retired to Southold from corporate management positions as CIO and VP of television Information Technology for Disney, ABC and Fox. He was responsible for the creation and management of three IT departments, implementing multi-million dollar sales and broadcast systems, as well as the creation and staffing of a new East Coast data center. His specialty is business change management and IT governance, implementing standards, policies and procedures. Wells is currently working full time on his second novel. Marie A. Domenici for Assessor:

Marie A. Domenici has vast range of private and public sector experience. In the private sector Marie worked for a Fortune 500 company for 15 years, and then was the public face/voice of an alternative energy startup for five years. When Marie left the startup she had helped it grow to a $10 million company rated one of the fastest growing companies in America. Worked for NYS Assembly as Legislative Aide (Alessi). Her public sector experience includes serving Southold Town as the first Chairwoman for Southold Town’s Renewable Energy Committee (2007-2009), and serving on the Southold Town Storm Water Run Off Committee (2005); and the Citizen’s Committee for Comprehensive Plan for Southold Town.

Joseph J. Finora, Jr. for Trustee:

Joseph Finora (Jr.), a dedicated environmentalist and North Fork resident, is determined to help preserve the “Southold quality of life.” Joe believes that the effects of Super Storm Sandy require a new approach to how we live alongside nature. An independent, small-business person, Joe was a fundraiser for Mattituck High School baseball for 10 years, helping to build dugouts and install electricity on the High School field. He is also the original General Manager and an organizer of the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League and North Fork Ospreys. He can be reached at: jfinora@optonline.net.

Ronald J. Rothman for Councilman:

Ron Rothman is a third generation Southolder. He owns Rothman's Dept. Store, founded in 1918 by his grandfather David Rothman. Ron has worked with town residents, business owners and the agricultural community while running Rothman’s over the past 25 years. His unique position has given him a special insight in what it takes to thrive on the North Fork: grow businesses, serve the community, support the schools, preserve the environment and maintain a high quality way of life. Having lived, worked and raised his family in Southold, Ron is committed to preserving the natural beauty and the lifestyle of Long Island’s North Fork for future generations.

Jason A. Petrucci for Assessor:

Jason Petrucci’s interest in Southold politics began in 2002 while he was a student at Southold High School. He joined the Conservation Advisory Council and attended the meetings of the Blue Ribbon Commission for a Rural Southold. His love for public policy led him to study political science in both college and graduate school. His love of Southold brought him home last year, to stay. Upon returning, Jason eagerly worked many hours for Al Krupski’s campaign for County Legislator. He greatly values Southold’s tradition of local government, and has a long-running interest in planning issues before the Town. He has attended multiple chapter sessions of the rewrite of Southold’s Comprehensive Plan.

Mary Eisenstein for Councilman:

Mary Eisenstein lives with her husband Mel Morris in Mattituck. She is a communications expert, business strategist, conflict management consultant and mediator. Mary owns her own business, Melmar Enterprises, through which she works with individuals, companies and organizations to improve interpersonal and organizational communication. She also provides business and personal coaching and is an effective motivator. She introduced mediation to Southold Town Justice Court where she has volunteered as a mediator for a number years. Mary will use these skills to serve the community on the Town board.

Theresa (“Terry”) Hofer for Assessor:

Terry Hofer has deep personal and business roots in Southold Town. Terry has built three homes in Mattituck and Cutchogue. She and her family also rented in Mattituck and Southold between constructions, all informing her appreciation and understanding of our local real estate. Terry’s children were born, raised and educated in Mattituck, and her son owns his home in New Suffolk. Terry possesses a varied business background, including owning the Down Home Store in Cutchogue for 6 years. As a small business owner, Terry did it all. Her new venture, aptly named "living space matters," is an interior styling and organizing business. Terry’s been active through memberships in the Chamber of Commerce & as a vocalist with the North Fork Chorale, East End Arts Council Gospel Choir & at Our Lady of Good Counsel.

William C. Funke for Trustee:

Bill Funke spent the first part of his working life in the ocean marine insurance field, including specialized coverages and plans for mitigating shoreside pollution from commercial operations. Later, he went on to work with several tech startups as a programmer and product designer. Bill has also been active with Audubon, and the Custer Institute. His interests as Trustee would be for preserving wetlands and shorelines, but with more equality and speedier rulings for all.

Eugene L. (“Tobie”) Wesnofske III for Superintendent of Highways:

Tobie is a native of Southold who grew up on and continues to help on the Wesnofske family farm in Southold. On the farm, Tobie gained experience in the supervision of labor and learned all the many skills necessary to keep the farm going. In the off season Tobie plows roads and does tree work giving him experience in two of the Southold Highway Department's challenging services. Tobie is a master mechanic who also works at Wheelers Garage and is a member of the L.I. Antique Power Association at Hallockville.
