My large extended family has deep roots in Greenport and Southold Town. We come from humble beginnings with heavy ties to the church. My maternal grandparents had 13 kids and somehow, someway, my grandmother, fondly known in the community as "Bootsie", found time to make what seemed like every single person in our entire town feel like they were one of her babies.

When her children were of school age, she went to work at Head Start as a cook, extending her reach within the community even deeper. Bootsie’s home was open to everyone. Those who weren’t close enough to feel her physical embrace were added to her list of people she wrote letters to. She made it her business to touch as many lives as she could; she had a keen ability to see commonality between all people. Bootsie believed that at our core we are often more aligned than we allow ourselves to admit. My Gram poured into so many by honestly and simply opening her heart and home.

I come from a compassionate, community-minded and
service-oriented family. This is my legacy.

FamilyFamily

I bring these values with me into my professional life and career, and I know it directly
correlates to how I can have a positive impact in town hall.

Whether it is providing services to families and children or helping clients choose coverage tailored to their individual needs, client service and satisfaction is what motivates me. In my current role as an insurance broker/agent, my job hinges on my ability to navigate complex regulations and guidelines while managing important documents with an attention to detail to better serve my clients and guide them through the claims process. My strong background in administration and client services has allowed me to flourish on a team that currently manages a multi-million-dollar portfolio.

Office

I acknowledge and the respect the work of our previous town clerk and staff. At the same time, I think we can look at ways to introduce new technology and other innovations to add efficiencies and update systems and procedures currently in place.

We all know the Town Clerk’s office is the community-facing branch of local government. The Clerk’s office is often the only point of contact that most residents have with town government – whether it’s to get permits and licenses, pay taxes or file forms.

My goal, should I receive your vote and become your Town Clerk, is to ensure this point of contact is a positive and efficient experience for all residents.

My ability to connect with members of the community will serve this office well. Southold Town deserves a fresh perspective. I am committed to bringing transparency, accountability and excellence to our town government.

Making space for leadership that truly represents all members of our community is vital. I believe I have the right combination of experience, values and qualifications to best serve as your next Town Clerk. I humbly ask for your vote and I promise to build on the foundation set before me to help lead Southold Forward.

Thank you all for your support. Now let’s get out the vote and win this thing in November!
